Black BronxSportswear compression top

How to Choose the Right Compression Fit

A compression top should feel supportive without restricting your breathing or changing your natural movement. The right fit stays close to the body and remains comfortable throughout the session.

Start with your usual size

Choose your normal fitted sportswear size as a starting point. Compression clothing is intentionally closer than a standard T-shirt, so some initial tension is expected.

Check the key areas

Pay attention to the shoulders, chest and underarms. The fabric should sit smoothly without sharp pulling, bunching or cutting into the skin. Raise your arms, rotate your torso and complete a few bodyweight movements before deciding.

Match the fit to your preference

Stay true to size for a firm performance fit. Consider sizing up when you prefer lighter compression or sit between measurements. Always compare your measurements with the product size guide.

The final test

You should be able to breathe deeply, move freely and forget about the garment once training begins. Support should improve confidence, not become a distraction.
